"A doctor has to go through nature exam."
Paracelsus (1493 - 1541)
Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936), the founder of Bach Flower Therapy, was a scientist, bacteriologist and physician.
It was he who discovered in 1930 that certain flowers of a certain plant caused positive reactions after ingestion, and he considered that every disease was of a spiritual nature and that the resources of selected plants that he had prepared start at the "root" of the disease and in this way lead to the self-healing of body, mind and soul. For this he used the flowers of perennials, shrubs and trees and wild plants to bring them in the form of essences as a remedy for the application.
First and foremost, these were used according to the mental state of the patient and not prescribed to treat physical illness and discomfort.
Basically, Bach flower therapy is based on the assumption that an unbalanced state of mind accompanies all illnesses and that a negative state of mind may indeed be the prerequisite for illness.
The Bach flowers are a simple and natural healing method, because they create balance and harmony in a natural and effective way. They open up the possibility of attunement to a mental and spiritual state.
There are altogether 38 different Bach flower essences. The most famous of all Bach flower remedies is Rescue, also known as "first aid drops", a blend of Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, Rock Rose and Cherry Plum.
The Bach flowers are easy to use and do not need any recipes.
Every crisis or illness offers a chance to change consciousness to positivity and to make a quantum leap in character development.
